Can Your Blog Make Money?

Published by admin under Story

ORIGINAL CONTENT

Yes, good content is something you need for your Blog, everyone agrees on this. However, the good content must be original content as well.

If you use content that you don’t have the rights to and don’t give the appropriate credit to, you are plagiarizing someone else’s work. Not only could this cause severe legal issues, it will cause problems with Google.

Whilst you can pick up Private Label article packs on just about any topic, using them is not helpful. If you have these articles, then assume everyone else does – you won’t have original content. Write your content from scratch.

INTERVIEWS

One way to post new and interesting content to your blog is to interview people relevant to your chosen niche and post the transcript to your blog. Be sure to make your interviewee is appropriate to your Niche though. For example, if you wanted to do an interview on Search Engine Optimization, you may interview Brad Callen (developer of the fantastic Keyword Elite and SEO Elite toolkits). An added bonus to the interview would be to record the interview itself and provide an MP3 download – I personally love these options, as I am often out and about and will download the MP3 file to my mobile phone and listen to the interview whilst driving.

NEW AND BREAKING NEWS

Posting about news in your market is a fantastic way to update your content. Let’s face it, your readers are reading your blog because they like to be current. Posting about current events in the market will give your readers just another insight into that market. Keep in mind though that the more current the news, the better – no one wants to read old news.

CONTESTS

You could run various contests on your blog. Make them fun, so people will keep coming back. People love to win things and by making the prize relevant to your market, you will ensure that your readers are those that you are targeting.

PRESS RELEASES

Send out a Press Release! You can write one yourself or have it written for you. There are many organizations that will write a Press Release for you at a discount, if you use their submission process.

COMMENTS

Having your readers comment on your blog is an equally important aspect of your Blog marketing. Try to respond to every comment on your Blog and make sure that you answer any questions that are posed in the comments. By showing that you are willing to interact with your readers and proving that you are knowledgeable, you will encourage your readers to return time and time again.

LINKS TO OTHER RELEVANT BLOGS AND WEBSITES

One of the metrics used by Search Engines to determine a Blogs relevance is to analyze the number of links from external sites. Of course, these links have to be relevant to the market, and keywords, you are targeting. However, the more links the better. Exchange links, get one way links, and ask for more and more links. You will never have enough links to your blog – just make sure they are relevant to your market and keywords.

The Importance of Background Checking

Published by admin under Story

Many people think that a background check is only conducted on employees by their prospective employer. Employers run background checks for many reasons.

  • Negligent Hiring – with lawsuits rising, If an employee’s actions hurt someone, the employer will be found liable. The threat of liability gives employers reason to be extremely careful in checking an applicant’s past. A bad employee can cause chaos on a company’s reputation, as well as ruin the career of the hiring official. Employers no longer feel secure in relying on their instinct as a basis to hire.
  • False or inflated information – Polls show that some estimates are that 30% to 40% of all job applications and resumes include some false or inflated facts. Such reports make employers wary of accepting anyone’s word at face value.
  • Current Events – Recent events have caused an increase in background checking.

These are just three of many reasons why businesses have established background checks. However, in today’s society the power of background checks are not only in the employers power.

Some sites provide links to one of the most accurate background check service available online. Now, citizens from all over can check the status on THEIR employers, neighbors, friends, or just about anybody that may give an unsettling feeling of uncertainty. Running a background check based on a gut feeling, or just the “need to know” basis is a smart idea. You really cannot put a price on your safety, and by running a background check you will be able see over a dozen different records of an individual.

If you have a feeling, or would like to check the status of a person I recommend doing so As a customer of this site before they provided me links to a great service that provided 100% accuracy. I would highly suggest visiting this site to get that link.

Toothbrushes and Toilets in the Bathroom

Published by admin under Story

You may remember hearing something horrible about the bathroom once and how, if you can keep your toothbrush in the same room as your toilet, every time you flush your toilet droplets of toilet water go on your toothbrush! Supposedly they say, you might as well be brushing your teeth with toilet water. Naturally, people immediately go out and buy all the materials to redo their bathroom and they build a wall between their toothbrush and the toilet. Well, maybe they aren’t that extreme but it does brig up some concerns about the bathroom.

Bathroom remodeling is a major industry these days. THe question is, is it really necessary? Everyone seems to be into tearing their house apart and putting it back together again, usually starting with the bathroom or the most inconvenient place possible. Is it possible to have a simple bathroom that is pleasing to all members of the family without investing enough to put several kids through college? I set out to find out. Here are some great remodelling tips:

1. Sower/Tub: Try cleaning these parts of the bathroom first. If you have to buy a new one, don’t spend more than 200 bucks.

2. Toilet: If it works in the bathroom, don’t fix it. If it doesn’t, replace it.

3. Sink: If it’s cracked, keep it under $150 tops.

4. Vanity: You can usually fix up your bathroom with a nice one from Home Depot or Lowes at a very low cost.

5. Lighting: Recessed lights are always very important in the bathroom

6. Floor: Try linoleum for most bathroom floors as it cleans up easily.

7. Painting: The cheapest remodel of all for your bathroom is to slap a new coat of paint on it.

So, is remodeling your bathroom really about replacing things that don’t work anymore or is it more about changing something in your life to make you feel better about yourself? For that matter, isn’t home remodeling in general all about that?

Taking a wider view, bathrooms go back to before the Roman empire and everyone knows abut the Roman baths which were great big pools of water where the whole community bathed together. For them it was a social occasion: time to discuss the events of the day and so forth. In places like England and Europe it’s not even a bathroom; it’s a “water closet” or the “loo”, and it doesn’t always include all these luxurious fixtures you find in a bathroom in America. Sink, toilet, and bathtub/shower all in the bathroom together is mostly an American invention, it turns out. Not that I don’t think it’s a good one.

Truth is, my current bathroom is in three different rooms: toilet in one, shower in another, sink outside of both. It’s not always as convenient as I’d like. I’m always wrapping myself in a towel to go from one room to the next. But I think I’ll stick with the current arrangement; remodeling my bathroom as a route to reinventing myself sounds expensive. At least my toothbrush isn’t in the bathroom with my toilet. There’s really nothing to worry about as long as you keep your toilet clean enough.

The College Files – A Simple System to Organize Your Papers at School

Published by admin under Story

Many of your college files will be electronic but what do you do with all the paper you receive? A simple set of 10 hanging files categorizes all of your daily papers and the mail you receive.

These 10 files are used for sorting the papers you are currently working on such as current bills you need to pay, phone calls you need to make, papers waiting to be filed away in the filing cabinet, etc. The daily files act as a holding spot for papers that would typically be placed on the desk, in a drawer, or in your car/mobile office.

Supplies:

For this project you’ll need 10 hanging file folders, a file box or file crate, and some manila file folders. You can customize your file system by using colored hanging file folders, interior file folders, and tabs.

Step 1:

Label the 10 hanging file tabs using a label maker or hand writing them:

To Attend, To Do, To File, To Pay, To Read, Classes, Coupons, Projects, Receipts, Waiting for

Step 2:

Label a manila file folder for each class you’re taking and place them inside the Classes hanging file. You may also want to create separate manila file folders for each of your projects.

Step 3:

Put your papers in the files.

The beauty of this simple system is that your papers are standing up, sorted & categorized, and you know where to find what you’re looking for – quickly.

Examples of items that would fit in each category:

To Attend: invitations to events or parties, notices for meetings, tickets
(Write the date and time on your calendar before filing)
To Do: items to purchase, calls to make, letters to mail, emails to answer, papers to write
To File: a holding place for papers until you get the chance to file them
To Pay: current bills, dues, fundraiser or charity donations, IOUs
To Read: articles, newsletters, offers that come in the mail
Classes: a manila file for each class can hold schedules, syllabus, course objectives, research paper ideas, etc.
Coupons: oil change, car washes, Bed, Bath & Beyond, restaurant deals, etc.
Projects: plans for Spring Break, decorating ideas, fitness goals
Receipts: use for matching against your bank statement at the end of the month, items you may return, income tax deductions, tuition and fees statements
Waiting for: items you’ve ordered from the Internet and are waiting to receive, phone calls you’re waiting to hear a response from, items you loaned to others and are awaiting their return

Keep your new file box handy on your desk so you can use it daily and prevent paper pile-ups. This system also works for sorting the papers and mail in a busy household. Just substitute the Classes tab for a Family tab and make a manila file folder for each member of the family.

Read this Article if You Want to Stop Pollution

Published by admin under Story

Do you want to stop pollution? One of the best things you can do to stop pollution is to stop polluting yourself and look in your mirror. Recycle your trash when you can and keep your car tuned up so that it runs efficiently. You could also keep your home immaculate as an example and try not to waste water. You could teach your children about the environment and teach them not to litter. You should be doing all these things already. One thing you can do is volunteer after civic events to work on the trash clean-up crew with your kids, this will teach them to be good stewards and not to pollute.

There are many things you can do to help. Sometimes people go out of their way to tell everyone else what to do yet drive a car with leaky rings which spews out smoke or tell everyone else to conserve fuel while they waste water as it runs down the driveway and into to the gutter and down the street it goes. There is so much you can do and if we all do a little, we all prevent a lot of pollution.

If we are really to be good stewards of our Earth then we must walk the talk and commit to looking into the mirror and asking ourselves; “Am I doing all I can to curb pollution” then and only then can we stop pollution. So do all you can and pass the word on and eventually everyone will make it a habit and there will not be anymore pollution to speak of. Think on this.

How to Use the News to Improve Your Spanish

Published by admin under Story

For most people, news is a part of life. They listen to the evening news to get the upcoming weather or to find out what is going on in their area that day. They buy newspapers to get a handle on local politics. The news is also a great way to learn a new language or improve upon a language such as Spanish. You can learn Spanish fast just by getting involved in Spanish language news.

One way to get news is through subscribing to a Spanish language newspaper. You can get the information at your local library usually.

Once you receive the paper, try reading the articles! While it might be a bit hard at first, keep at it! If you have trouble, use a dictionary to translate and find out about the story from other sources as well. This will ensure you’re getting the correct understanding.

See if what you understand as you try to learn Spanish matches what you find out in your own language. Sometimes, the perspective is different, causing a discrepancy between the two stories. This only makes the reading more interesting. It helps you learn Spanish on a whole different level.

If you have trouble obtaining a Spanish language newspaper, you can find articles from Spanish newspapers online. Search under “Spanish language newspaper” and you will find several choices of online newspapers from all over the Spanish speaking world.

You can treat these in the same way you treat the newspapers that arrive in the mail. Translate them and work at understanding their meanings. Another way to learn Spanish through the news is to look up an English language newspaper.

Print off a page. Next, if you have the option, request a translation into Spanish. Print this off and you can compare them to learn Spanish better. You will have a clear understanding of the story and of the way the words are used to tell it.

Another way you can get Spanish news is through the television. While previously few had Spanish TV access, it is now commonplace, and there are many stations to choose from. You can also watch generally programming and sometimes you can even watch your favorite shows redubbed in Spanish.

Learning Spanish by watching the news can leave you with two options. First, you can put yourself to the test by watching it in real time. This gives you practice in adjusting to the cadence of the spoken word. You will be astonished at how much you will learn simply by listening closely.

Another option is to record it and watch it a little at a time. You can learn Spanish in more depth this way by translating every word. It will take more time, but you will learn Spanish vocabulary that is up-to-date. You will also know about current events in Spanish speaking countries.

Using the news media to learn Spanish better is a good choice for a busy person. It doesn’t require a lot of time, even if you translate. Furthermore, you stay in the loop while you learn Spanish better than ever before.

Learning Spanish alone can be tough without solid learning material. Unfortunately, most Spanish courses cost a ton. Rosetta Stone, for example, costs over $500. That’s why I recommend Rocket Spanish. You can get part of this course for free! Just check out my blog Learn Spanish Easy for a full review!
